Johnson Space Center

When my parents were here we got the chance to finally tour NASA. It was a lot larger than I expected and really neat to see. Johnson Space Center is home of Mission Control and is where the astronauts are trained. For the tourists there are various things to see and watch. You can try(and fail) to land the shuttle on Earth. See the inside of the shuttle. Watch different show about the space program and going into outer space. Also, there is a museum with different space artifacts. One of the main things to do is a tram tour of NASA that takes you around the different buildings.

Yes, I am wearing socks with sandals. Sometimes comfort wins over fashion.

Here is THE Mission Control Center where they communicate with the astronauts up in space.

This is the original room where Apollo and other missions were done. The equipment has definitely change/improved since then.

One of the buildings contained models of the International Space Station so the astronauts can train before they head up.

Trees planted in remembrance of those lost on the space missions.

This was definitely Malakai's highlight!

Awesome. I assumed that the socks with sandals was Mom until I re-read your comment. Do you two ever swap sandals and socks?
