First off, apologies that it has been so long for any pics or updates to be posted. Welcome to our world of the 1990's with snail-paced dial up internet!
Malakai is still as remarkable as ever. Social and curious, he loves people, crowds, and day trips. If he's not crawling 100 miles an hour to explore his surroundings, he's checking out all the action of those around him. Nanny Troyer calls him "Snoopy" because he's so curious!
His mommy, however, is not doing as remarkably as he. On Thursday Sep 4 she broke her lower left left (the tibia). Expecting a waste-high cast to be put on Tuesday the 9th, she was told instead she needed surgery (on Monday the 15th). Her break was deemed a "spiral" break, meaning it's not a straight across fracture, but a break that curves and spirals. Very (very!) painful, and not much fun. She's saddest that her time with Kai is so limited. The nausea is also not appreciated. Keep her in your prayers.
We were in Houston over labor day for my pastoral interview at the church. It went really well, or well enough for them to officially "call" me as their pastor. Given our focus on getting Hannah better, we'll take some time to process the call before getting back with them for sure.
Peace to you all,
Marty and the gang

Hannah - I'm so so sorry you broke your leg - that sucks big time! Praying for you as often as you come to mind and asking God to bring you to mind often :D
Miss you!
